Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Western Hills Elementary School, home of the Roadrunners!  My name is Tiffany Vestal and I have been the Principal since the 2019-2020 school year. Previously, I worked at the district office as the Testing Coordinator and prior to that, I was the Assistant Principal here at Western Hills.

Recently, our campus underwent construction due to the 2015 Bond.  The HVAC system was updated  and energy efficient windows have been added.  The cafeteria and hallways have also received an updated look.  The office area was remodeled and most importantly, a secure entrance was added. 

My plan for Western Hills is to continue the tradition of excellence by focusing on academic growth for all students.  We will achieve this by diving deeper into blended learning which increases student engagement and ownership of their learning.  Another goal of mine is to focus on the whole child by giving more chances to learn skills outside of the classroom.  We have implemented Zones of Regulation school-wide which teaches students how to monitor their own emotions and strategies to be successful.

At Western Hills, each staff member is committed to ensuring that your student reaches his or her maximum potential.  In order for us to accomplish this, I encourage you to be involved!  We will regularly communicate through notes home,  social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, and Skyward alerts.  Please make sure your phone number stays updated in the parent portal so that you receive all communications.  Please do not hesitate to call (254-215-5600) or come visit.  I look forward to a great year!
