Solid, Liquid or Gas?

1st graders enjoyed the first day of fall while conducting an outdoor experiment in the garden. As part of their unit on properties and patterns, students observed a cube of ice change from solid to liquid. Students also recognized that the water would evaporate and change from liquid to gas.
