5th grade science started their month long ecosystems unit off with a bang! Thanks to parents and teachers for donating all those soda bottles. They went to good use. We added some gravel, live aquatic plants, and Beta fish to create the aquarium below. Then, stacked a terrarium complete with gravel, soil, banana leftovers from breakfast, a couple of worms, and a handful of grass seeds to top it all off. Can't wait to make daily observations as we watch our homemade ecosystems thrive and survive.
