The 2nd six weeks Rocking Roadrunner Awards were held on Friday November 13th. Several students, parent volunteers, teachers and staff members were recognized for their outstanding achievement and contribution to Western Hills!

Wow! Western Hills students and staff did not disappoint with the canned food drive! On the last day of collecting, our turkey is now overflowing with canned meats which will be donated to CTLC (Churches Touching Lives for Christ). Thank you Roadrunners!!!

Join us for Rocking Roadrunner Awards tomorrow to find out who earned the prestigious Outstanding Citizen Award for Perfect Attendance, Outstanding Behavior, and Excellent Academics! These students will be rewarded with an incentive trip to Ralph Wilson Youth Club next Friday November 20th. Join us this week in donating canned meats (soups, tuna, spam, etc.) for the annual TISD food drive. We are collecting cans at the front of the school. Come and feed the turkey! All donations will be given to Churches Touching Lives for Christ, benefiting families right here in Temple!

Soldiers from our adopted army unit came to watch the 4th grade Veteran's Day performance on Thursday November 5th. After the performance, soldiers volunteered around the school by reading with students, telling stories, participating in hands-on learning, games, and activities. Thank you soldiers & veterans for our freedom!

Join us on Thursday November 5th for a fun-filled evening of literacy, technology, and pizza!

Temple ISD will once again hold a district-wide food drive during the week of November 9-13. This year, we will be collecting cans of meat- soups, chili, chicken, tuna-any potted meat; even Spam or Vienna sausages. A collection point will be set up in the front of the school. Drop-offs can be made anytime during the day or sent to school with the students. The food collected will be donated to Churches Touching Lives for Christ (CTLC) here in Temple.
