Parents and 5th grade students are invited to attend TISD Middle School Parent Night on February 8th from 5:30 to 6:30 at Bonham, Travis, and Lamar Middle Schools to receive information about registration for classes for the 2016-2017 school year. 5th grade science is at it again...this time students reviewed the scientific method by conducting a simple orange experiment.

Two of our very own teachers received a C.A.T. (Champions at Teaching) award yesterday. Congrats Mrs. Fagan & Mrs. Ferrel!

Thanks to Coach Moten & Coach Bizek, we now have a Chess Club that will meet on Wednesday's and Thursday's from 7:15-7:30 a.m. in the Science Lab.

5th Grade Science students demonstrated their knowledge of weather and climate by performing a rap.

Join us for the Big Blue Wave Glow Run 5K/1K at Jefferson Elementary School on Friday January 22nd. The run will begin at 6:30 p.m. and proceeds will benefit the Temple Education Foundation.

Students who earned the Outstanding Citizens award for the 3rd six weeks traveled to the brand new Ralph Wilson Youth Club on Friday January 15th.

The Junior Master Gardener club harvested the garden this afternoon and sold the fresh produce to the staff of WHES.

The WHES Dance Team performed at halftime of the THS varsity girls basketball game on Tuesday January 5th. They did an outstanding job, way to go ladies!

The school counseling program at WHES was chosen as one of 91 schools in the state of Texas to receive the CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas) award.
