"Outstanding Citizens" have a blast at Ralph Wilson Youth Club Students who earned the Western Hills Outstanding Citizen Award traveled to Ralph Wilson Youth Club on Friday October 16th. The qualifications for receiving the outstanding citizen award include perfect attendance, no discipline referrals and passing all classes during each six weeks grading period. At the youth club, students enjoyed playing indoor and outdoor games as well as enjoying a picnic style hot dog lunch. All students will have a chance to earn the outstanding citizen award for the second six weeks grading period. A huge thank you goes out to the staff at Ralph Wilson Youth Club for your partnership in recognizing our outstanding citizens!

Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program Begins Western Hills Elementary will be participating in the BOOK IT! program sponsored by Pizza Hut. BOOK IT! runs every school year from October through March. The teacher sets a reading goal for each child in the class. As soon as a child meets the monthly reading goal, the teacher recognizes him or her with a Reading Award Certificate. Parents, you can help by tracking the time your child spends reading at home. Check out the BOOK IT! website or visit with our campus Librarian to learn more.
