Temple ISD will once again hold a district-wide food drive during the week of November 9-13. This year, we will be collecting cans of meat- soups, chili, chicken, tuna-any potted meat; even Spam or Vienna sausages. A collection point will be set up in the front of the school. Drop-offs can be made anytime during the day or sent to school with the students. The food collected will be donated to Churches Touching Lives for Christ (CTLC) here in Temple.

This Wednesday, November 4th is National Eating Healthy Day!
That’s right! We can toss away all of that yummy Halloween candy and read about how you can bring National Healthy Eating Day to life at your school! 

Mrs. Donofrio is holding a “Potato Storybook Character Contest.” Students are asked to decorate a potato like their favorite storybook character.

The Junior Master Gardener's first harvest brought a bounty of lettuce, kale, spinach and fragrant basil!!

On Tuesday students at Western Hills "teamed up against drugs" and wore their favorite sports team attire.

We celebrated the first day of Red Ribbon Week on Monday October 26th with crazy hair and/or socks to show that we are not crazy enough to use drugs!

Kindergarten students traveled to The Robinson Family Farm on Friday October 16th. Students traveled through the corn maze, went on a hayride, looked at the pumpkins, played in the corn kernel "sandbox" and participated in many other activities.

Western Hills will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 26th-30th.

More hands-on learning occurred as 5th grade students discussed electrical energy this week. Is the circuit open, closed, series, parallel?
