Be sure to check out the drive-through flu vaccine clinic at McLane Children's Hospital Campus in Temple this Saturday October 15th from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Please join us as we give back to our adopted military unit, the 62nd Quartermaster Company, a.k.a. "Cadence Crew" We will be collecting items and assembling care packages to send to our soldiers while they are deployed overseas. Items can be dropped off in the library from October 11th through October 28th.

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Join us as we promote good attendance and put a stop to chronic absences.

Join us this Saturday October 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ralph Wilson Youth Club in Temple for a day of wellness.

Join us on Thursday September 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wheels Family Skate Center in Temple for a PTO fundraiser. Tickets are on sale for $3 in the school office.

Join us for the 5th grade talent show on Tuesday September 27th at 5:45 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Please send your student to school in a red or black shirt on Thursday September 22nd. We will be taking an outdoor aerial photo of the staff & students for the yearbook.

Robin Lewis, WHES 2nd grade teacher, was nominated by Mrs. Cook, campus principal, for the Rotary Educator of the Month award. She was chosen as the winner for Temple ISD and was treated to lunch on Thursday September 8th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple. Congratulations Ms. Lewis, we are proud of you!

Kathy Cook & her fierce A-Team recruited Jedi Warriors to help them on their quest to defeat the STAAR Test this year. "May the Scores Be With You!"
